Midnapore had taken a pioneering role in India's freedom struggle. a large number of freedom fighters who had bravely faced the gallows are the sons of the soil of midnapore. In order to free their motherland of the yokes of bondage, They had willingly sacrificed themselves in the freedom pyre. Their heroic feats have been inscribed in the bricks and stones of temples, mosques and churches of the land.
This website is a tribute to them and to their motherland. |

Midnapore Bengal volunteers
Year 1930 freedom struggle of India takes step up at Midnapur, Ainammanya, a non-violent, Law disobedience movement and armed revolution storms British Government. District Magistrate and British officers in a desperate attempt to suppress the moment resort to torturing and cutting hands of young.
A year later in 1931 Mr. Paddy district magistrate announces to teach lesson, to youth of Midnapore and never raise their hands against British Government, challenge was received and replied by Bengal volunteers, action squad of Bengal volunteers pledge to block British officers in the district magistrate post at Midnapore district and Paddy the terror was chosen as first target. On 7 th April 1931.
