Her name is Jayanti Sing. She was born on 16 March 1993 in Chhota Angar Kurya village of Jhargram subdivision, Midnapore district (now Manikpara gram panchayat of Jhargram district). Father Bankim Singh and mother Savitri Singh. They had only 1 bigha (61.98 Decimal) of agricultural land in the village but no one to cultivate. Because her father was a paralysis patient, he was not able to do anything. That's why they didn't eat properly.
She studied from different hostels in Sabang. At the age of 5 she was admitted to Jhantibad Primary School. Then in 2010 she took the secondary examination from the hostel of Uchitpur Girls School in Sabang. She completed his higher secondary education in 2012 from Basantapur Jhareshwar Bani Bhavan. She lived in the school's Nivedita hostel.
She could not study anymore due to financial crisis. She was forced to return home. When she saw the suffering of the people, his mind would get restless from a very young age. Despite this condition of the family, when a beggar came home, she never said no. Without informing the house, she would give whatever she could get her hands on. Such as mother's clothes, rice, pulses etc. It so happened that cooking was done for everyone in the house; she handed over the entire cooking to the beggars. Her mother used to beat her for all this. This is how she was spending her days sitting at home. There was a desire to do something for people, but there was no way.
Suddenly one day Pradip Mahata of Indrabani village appeared at home. He was then looking for orphaned or neglected miserable baby girls in the villages. He was determined to educate them anyway.

Pradip Mahata suggested to Jayanti Singh's mother that he wanted to take Jayanti with him. Jayanti immediately agreed to the proposal. Her mother thought that her daughter wanted to do this kind of work. The proposal is not bad. It is better to be sent with Pradeep Mahat than to stay at home.
Jayanti Singh moved to Indrabani village holding Pradip uncle’s hand. With him, Pradip Mahata established a social service organization called "Indrabani Rural Women and Children Development Center" (popularly known as Indrabani Ashram) in 2009.

Jayanti mingled with the little girls of the ashram like a friend. Life was hard but life was very happy. Admitted to Manikpara College. But after the first year due to work pressure, she did not study anymore. She had to work very hard in the beginning. From going to the forest to cutting wood and begging in the villages to run the ashram. She used to reach villages in Orissa and Jharkhand to raise money for the ashram.

While living as a friend with the little girls of the ashram, she unknowingly became their mother one day. Not only the work of the ashram, with this she trained the girls of the village to become self-reliant. Pradip Mahata said - "Jayanti has as much credit as I have in this ashram."

Jayanti Singh has dedicated her life to building the dreams of neglected, helpless girls. Her activities will inspire future generations. She may not be a teacher by profession. But on her own initiative she is fighting tirelessly for the children (free of cost) of the orphaned or miserable backward families of the society. She is a shining example to the society. This year (2021) this exceptional teacher has been honored with "Medini-Acharya" by 'Midnapore-dot-in'.
