Sushmita Sinha Roy, Indian Athlete , born in 26th March 1984 , Midnapore. Sushmita Sinha Roy - Golden Girl of Midnapore made the country proud by winning a gold in heptathlon in the last Asiad and represented India in the sport, both in the Beijing and London Olympics. Her father Achintya Sinha Roy works at the Midnapore police lines and her mother is Anima Sinha Roy. She was an ex-student of Aligunj Girls High School, had started her career as a long jumper.
